Overview
Dave needed a public-facing site for marketing and member acquisition, and there wasn't one owned in-house — no dedicated web team. I was the sole front-end owner: React, TypeScript, and Redux, implementing from design comps and product requirements while partners owned visuals and specs. Whatever SEO shipped with the site, I don't claim a strong SEO metric. The company scaled from 200K to 4M+ users in that window — a company outcome, not mine alone.
My Role
- Title
- Full Stack Engineer → Senior Front-End Engineer
- Context
- Same tenure as support tooling and mobile app work; promoted within 7 months.
- Scope
- Solo FE owner of the public marketing site — implementation end to end; design and product owned visuals and requirements.
The Problem
Dave had no in-house public marketing site — acquisition and brand depended on shipping dave.com without a web team standing behind it.
What I Built
Dave.com public website
- Problem
- Marketing and product needed a production public site and no one owned it internally.
- Fix
- Built the full public site as sole FE — React, TypeScript, Redux — implementing design comps and product requirements.
- Result
- Production marketing site live at dave.com without a dedicated in-house web team; no traffic or SEO metric claimed beyond shipping.

Outcome / Impact
I owned the public marketing site implementation during hypergrowth. Dave reached unicorn status in that period — a company metric. The honest result for this project is a live marketing presence built solo on the front end with design and product partners.
